Sabrina Mangos
Sabrina was born on 28 November 2000 to the proud parents of Michael & Valerie Mangos. She was their third born child and their only daughter. Sabrina has two brother, Sam and Nicholas, who both adored their little sister. As big brother do, they also loved to torment their little sister!
Sabrina attended Immanuel Primary School at Novar Gardens. She commenced there in Reception in 2005. Her family is still connected very much to the school. Shortly after her passing, with the partnership of her family, god parents Michael and Sandra Mestros, and the school parents & friends association, 3 remembrance benches were installed as a place for student to go and remember and honour Sabrina.
Sabrina and her family were holidaying in New York during June / July of 2011. After a wonderful holiday that involved them travelling to Washington, Niagara Falls and of course Disneyland, a trip of a lifetime for a little girl and her family. On their last night, just after watching a Broadway show, they decided to meet with relatives local to New York for one last dinner celebration before they boarded their flight home the next morning. As they travelled to the restaurant, their mini-van was struck by a Nissan Sentra sedan that ran a red light. The van they travelled in flipped and Sabrina (who was then 10 years old) was pinned underneath. Many people came to aid the family and Sabrina. Sabrina passed away on 7 August 2011, aged 10.
